Neue Mitglieder im Weltverband World Physiotherapy
Der Weltverband World Physiotherapy (WPT) hat Zuwachs bekommen: Als neue Mitglieder wurden am 1. Januar 2023 die National Association of Physiotherapists of Angola, die Association of Physiotherapists (Guatemala), die Oman Physical Therapy Association sowie die Order of Physiotherapists (Portugal) begrüßt. Der Weltverband vertritt damit über 600.000 Physiotherapeutinnen und -therapeuten auf der ganzen Welt durch seine 127 Mitgliedsorganisationen.
Seit Gründung des Weltverbandes am 8. September 1951 ist erstmals im Dezember 2022 mit Polen eine Mitgliedsorganisation aus der World Physiotherapy ausgetreten. So haben Physiotherapeutinnen und -therapeuten in Polen zum ersten Mal seit 1967 auf globaler Ebene keine Vertretung mehr.
